SeaDek is a premium alternative to marine carpet and traditional molded-in non-skid flooring. Built for the toughest marine environments, it’s made from UV-resistant, closed-cell PE/EVA foam that won’t absorb water and provides reliable traction in both wet and dry conditions.
Beyond performance, SeaDek adds comfort and style to your boat. Its shock-absorbing qualities make long days on the water easier on your feet and joints, while its sound-dampening properties help create a quieter ride that anglers especially appreciate.
SeaDek is also fully customizable in color, pattern, and design, making it a smart choice for boaters who want flooring that performs and looks great.
Yes. SeaDek’s textured surface provides excellent non-slip traction in both wet and dry conditions. This is one of the main reasons boaters choose SeaDek over traditional flooring.
One of the biggest advantages of SeaDek is that it doesn’t get hot in the sun like other EVA foam products. In fact, this is one of the main reasons boaters choose SeaDek over traditional flooring. While nearly all EVA foams will heat up to the point of almost burning your feet, SeaDek is engineered with a closed-cell structure and UV inhibitors that allow it to stay cool and comfortable, even on the hottest summer days.
Yes, darker colors will naturally feel warmer in direct sunlight, but compared to 99% of other EVA foams on the market, SeaDek is the leader in staying cool underfoot. That means you, your family, and even your pets can move around your boat barefoot without discomfort.
This cooling property is one of the key features customers love most about SeaDek — durability, traction, comfort, and a deck that stays cool to the touch.
Yes. SeaDek is manufactured with UV inhibitors to resist fading, even under harsh sunlight. While any material may show slight changes over time, with proper care SeaDek will maintain its look for years.
👉 Choosing lighter colors can help minimize visible fading in sun-heavy environments.
Yes. Many boaters use SeaDek to give their pets secure footing onboard. The foam provides excellent traction to help dogs stay safe. It also stays cool to the touch, even in the hot sun, which is a great bonus for our pet’s paws.
Item to Note: Because it is an EVA foam product, excessive scratching or clawing may cause tears. The good news: SeaDek’s closed-cell structure means it won’t absorb water, even if punctured.
⚠️ Pet-related damage is not covered under warranty.
In the harshest marine conditions, SeaDek typically lasts 5–7 years. With proper care — and if your boat is stored under cover — it can last even longer, maintaining both appearance and performance.
All SeaDek products are warranted to be free from defects at the time of purchase. The PE/EVA foam material includes a 3-year warranty covering both materials and workmanship.
Please note: the adhesive (PSA) cannot be warranted due to factors outside our control during installation.

Yes. Just measure the pad size you’d like and contact our customer service team for a quote. Call 208-510-7372 or email diyseadek@gmail.com and we’ll provide pricing tailored to your needs.
SeaDek pricing isn’t calculated strictly by the square foot — it’s based on the number of sheets required for your project. To achieve the best overall look, each piece is carefully nested into the sheets so that the brushing pattern runs in the same direction from bow to stern. This process not only enhances the finished appearance but also affects how many sheets are needed to complete your layout. Since every boat is unique, pricing will vary from project to project.
For the most accurate quote, contact our team at 208-510-7372 or email diyseadek@gmail.com and we’ll be happy to walk you through your options.
The largest single piece SeaDek available is 39” x 79.” For larger areas that require a seamless look, multiple sheets can be custom-cut and fitted seamlessly to cover your boat’s layout. Contact the USATuff DIY team to learn more about your options.
We offer free sample kits within the U.S. so you can see and feel SeaDek before purchasing. There is a small charge to cover the shipping only.

Currently, we are unable to ship SeaDek products outside the U.S. If you’re international, check SeaDek’s Dealer Locator to find a certified fabricator or installer in your area. Yes — you can absolutely install SeaDek yourself, and at USATuff we are the go-to experts in helping boat owners with DIY installation. Our process is designed to support customers who want the benefits of SeaDek but may not have access to a certified installer nearby.
While it may seem daunting at first, SeaDek is easier to install than most people expect, thanks to its peel-and-stick 3M™ adhesive backing. Over the years, we’ve walked hundreds of customers through the process step by step, and they’ve achieved professional-looking results on their own boats.
To make it simple, we provide:
The benefit of the DIY option is that you don’t have to live near a SeaDek installer to enjoy the comfort, traction, and style that SeaDek provides. You can achieve the same results at home with our guidance.
Of course, if you’re local to Idaho, our professional installation team would be happy to complete the project for you on-site. Either way, you’ll end up with a durable, precision-fit deck that’s built to last.
Applying SeaDek is simple. Each piece comes with a strong 3M™ acrylic-based pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, so installation is a quick peel, stick, and press process — no messy glues or complicated steps required.
With proper surface preparation, you’ll achieve a secure bond and a professional-looking result that lasts for years.
For the best results, apply SeaDek in dry conditions above 60°F. Warmer weather helps the adhesive bond securely.
How do I prep the surface?
Proper surface prep is key to long-lasting adhesion.

⚠️ Always check local/state regulations before applying solvents near water.
Yes. SeaDek adheres very well to most molded-in non-skid surfaces and to properly applied, well-maintained non-skid paints — as long as the surface is cleaned thoroughly before installation.
If your boat has a very aggressive texture, we recommend sending us photos or requesting samples so our team can help you test and confirm the best fit before ordering.
SeaDek sheets can be seamed, but we generally recommend avoiding it. Over time, PE/EVA foam may shrink slightly (up to ¼"), so we suggest leaving about a ½" gap between sections for the best long-term results.
With proper surface prep and installation, SeaDek will stay securely adhered for 5–7 years or more. Careful prep and maintenance can extend that even further.
For projects ordered from USATuff, your kit will come pre-cut. However, if you order raw sheets of SeaDek, you can use a sharp razor knife with a fresh blade to cut them into your desired shapes. Since SeaDek is a dense foam, you may need to replace blades during the project to maintain clean and precise cuts.
SeaDek is designed for semi-permanent installation, but it can be removed if needed.

Yes — and this is where USATuff truly shines. We are widely recognized as the go-to experts for DIY SeaDek installation, and we’ve developed the most trusted, award-winning process on the market. SeaDek is naturally highly stain-resistant, thanks to its closed-cell PE/EVA foam construction. Dirt, grime, fish guts, blood, wine, oil, etc., typically remain on the surface rather than penetrating the foam — making cleanup much easier than traditional materials.
However, given enough time or exposure, certain substances can leave marks if not addressed promptly. These may include fuel additives or stabilizers, rust (from hardware or anchor rodes), oil/grease, sunscreen, and cosmetics.
For best results, clean spills and stains promptly to maintain appearance. For tough stains, use a cleaner formulated for SeaDek, such as Dek Magic, which is specifically designed to lift stains like fish blood, oil, wine, etc.
