Step-by-Step Overview
STEP 1: Review & Quote
We review the photos and details you provide, confirm your boat’s make and model, and verify the areas you’d like covered with SeaDek boat decking. Once confirmed, we send you a custom quote for your DIY SeaDek® kit.
STEP 2: Paper Fit Confirmation
After your order is placed, we prepare and ship full-size paper-fit templates for each piece in your project. These paper fits allow you to stage the layout directly in your boat and confirm that the template we have on file is an accurate match.
Paper-fit preparation typically takes 5–7 business days, plus shipping time.
Once received, you’ll follow simple instructions to stage the paper fits and send photos back to our team for review.
Once we receive your pictures back, our review generally takes 3–5 business days.
If adjustments are needed, we revise the templates and repeat this step until the fit is confirmed. Two rounds of paper fits are included with your order, and more can be added for an additional fee if needed.
STEP 3: Design & Approval
Once the fit is approved, our design team applies your selected design details (such as teak lines or custom patterns) and sends a digital proof for your approval. Design turnaround is typically 3–5 business days, depending on project volume.
STEP 4: Fabrication & Shipping
After design approval, your genuine SeaDek pieces are precision-cut, quality-checked, and shipped directly to you for do-it-yourself installation. Fabrication typically takes 5–7 business days from final approval if you have chosen one of our stock color combinations.
